just learn how dogs (wolfs) are organised and learn the meaning of who eats exactly when. mystery (s|w)olved ;-)
my dogs also learned that too and i think that they believed that my cats were first because my cats have zero qualms about swiping the food right out of my hands as i was eating; they would patiently wait for my cats to lose interests in the treats that i tried to give to the dogs. lol
