The stove in my new apartment was a fluke, but with a couple immersion heaters I got better boils than I’ve ever had!

    Is it 220V? Ever since using an induction burner on a boat I’ve been fantasizing about stove-and-oven-less kitchen.

      Yup. Bigger kettle has 2kW and the smaller one is 1,5kW. The stove itself is also on at about 50% power.

      Not nearly as bad as I thought. Mostly just some scale.

      (those commercial beer makers often have exposed coils in the bottom, so it’s no worse than that.)

      It’s a simple pale ale with random hops from my parent’s yard. Trying out that hop was actually the reason why I got into homebrewing initially.

        Are those hops good? Would you share a bit of rhizome for me to clone?

        I can’t stop thinking that Finnish hops grown in chill weather might be a hidden treasure, once we figure out how to tune the recipes.
