Cars steer with only one set of tires.
Depending on if it is rear-wheel drive or front-wheel drive, it can be either the front or the back that turn when you move the steering wheel.Somehow, the set of tires that was not supposed to turn ended up turned, and the car will always be driving at an angle even if the steering wheel is “straight.” So turning the steering wheel to compensate allows the car to drive straight…but angles the entire car.
It’s like a rhombus.
What? Front or rear wheel drive only indicates what wheels are driven by the engine. Cars (almost) always steer with their front wheels. This car has a bad alignment. Which means all of the wheels are not pointing straight which causes it to crab walk.
