We’ll have none of that moralistic judgement and hetro-normative focus on penetration around here thanks. Love is love, and what happens between consenting plugs and ports is their business.

And why should pleasure only come from penetration anyway? I say we need to normalise tickling, fondling, blowing and licking (with mutual consent) as equally valid expressions of love and trust. I, for one, have witnessed the great emotional release involved in the ritual “right side up?” foreplay so often engaged with hetero USB-A intercourse.

I’m now thinking that all those apple chargers didn’t actually have loose wiring, they just enjoyed the extra jiggling.

Ah thanks. I’m the sort of person that only plugs things in where they’re supposed to be plugged in and checks several times that it is indeed the correct place before I plug it in, and then checks a couple of times that I’ve plugged it in correctly. It wouldn’t occur to me to do it any other way. And I’m no fun at parties!

A usb plug can be made to fit a hdmi socket (hence the ‘well you can’ comment) but yeah, the pins don’t match up so you get nada. Possibly some damage to parts if you get gung ho about jamming it in there

The place I’m staying at has Alexa whatever things all over the house. I have given in and used them for timers and alarm clocks so I can reduce use of my phone especially first thing in the morning. It helps that I have to actually use my voice if I want to silence the alarm. So of course I blearily told it to stop for 3 separate alarms this morning - 7, 7:15 and 7:30.

Eventually woke up at 8ish and asked it what the time was and it said "The time is 8:05 am. Happy Friday! 😇 "

Is it possible to ask Alexa to be more of a curmudgeonly bitch?

People that say ‘happy Friday’ should be given 50 lashes in the public square.

People that say ‘happy ****day’ for any other of the week, should be removed from society via catapult or trebuchet

There are so many things you can do it with! I should warn you though… all of the things you ask it get logged and the owner of the devices can see a list of what you’ve said to it in their Alexa app. I can’t remember if it actually saves the audio of you asking or not too.

Temp tomorrow tops at 18. It’s July. This is not natural.

We have fucked our planet beyond repair. I’m sorry, but conservatism is not only wrong, it’s dangerous now, because soon climate change is going to kill tens, if not hundreds of millions of people.

realised this morning that I’d inadvertently gotten a bit of a Tig Notaro (Edit: think Army of the dead) haircut. Local lesbians in my area are very interested (got hit on three times between bunnings and the fresh fruit grocer)

I am enjoying my second pub meal in one day. I highly recommend blowing off work, booking a random motel at the last minute and escaping to country Vic. Hi from Yackandandah.

Day 2 of intermediate body shred challenge completed, plus tummy exercises. I got home from work last night, did 2 loads of washing, very begrudgingly cooked dinner, which was lovely, had exhausting argument with elder minipeeler about doing homework and basically collapsed into bed without doing my evening exercises 😔 Both minipeelers are home sick today. Made a breakfast juice with ginger, pear, spinach, apple celery and a small beetroot. I’d show you a picture but, you know, it’s a purple ploppy looking juice.

    Bonus picture of dinner

Picture is of steak with mash, peas and broccoli, chargrilled zucchini and red Brussels sprouts cooked in a mushroom cream sauce, thereby negating any health benefits of said sprouts. I seem to cook better when I’m tired and pissed off.

Wow, that’s something I haven’t seen in a long time. Steak. looks yum and being so early in the day seeing that, it’s made me hungry!

Well done on getting all that last night. I wouldn’t have been able to do that. Very Impressive.

Agreed. My fave weekend breakfast involves fried mushrooms, spinach and red onion on Turkish toast or a fresh sourdough toast. Bonus egg, bacon and beetroot relish because I can’t resist going overboard on that stuff!

    Rejected again, I’m unemployable
    Dejected again, unenjoyable
But I got fishnet stockings on, feeling neat
I’ll dance my bleeding heart out, undefeated
I’ll keep trying to be another wage-drone
In a capitalist landscape that wants me gone
    I don’t care anymore, I know I am qualified
Don’t care about my failings being quantified
I’m ready to dance, I’m ready to go
Where I’ll end up, I do not know
But whereever it is, it’s where I’m meant to be
Tonight I’ll let loose, and pretend I am free

It was a wet dog walk this morning. The night was warm too - I did not sleep well, and tossed and turned so much Mr Woof went to sleep in the lounge room. It makes me feel much better about being at work when I am not missing a nice day.

Yeah, it was wild. I walked home around midnight and the app said 14 degrees. I thought it was joking, but so many people were out.

I love mein Opa. He loves pulling apart dangerous appliances (think microwaves) that he finds during hard-rubbish, and refurbishing them. He built the sun-room by himself, and wired it all back in the 70s, we have Sunday Lunch in it still. He browses the internet and knows how to research, learning from YT how phones and PCs are made.

But he had to ask me for help, bc his Samsung Android phone kept notifying him every 5 minutes or so that he had a msg. I had to pop into the settings and show him how to turn the ‘reminder’ feature off.

    He’s the best.

Day off. Had a lovely breakfast, coffee, now under a blanket on the couch, pondering whether to start with some zelda, a book, or just head straight for a snooze.

Update on the neighbour dog barking. I heard from another neighbour that the owners have gone to Europe, it seems like they’ve just left the dog at the house and expect whoever to visit and feed it, and it’s being left outside all day and night. I’m not sure if anyone is pet sitting or living at the house, there’s no cars around. Going on holiday doesn’t absolve you of your responsibilities as a dog owner. Dogs need exercise and attention, it ain’t getting any of that so it’s barking around the clock. I called the council but they’re useless. Goodbye sleep and sanity.

In better news, off for Friday knock-off drinks soon. This weather is perfect for beer.

I’m drawing landscapes just to learn how to use digital brushes and it’s a bit frustrating. Each one seems to look a tad crappier than the last. (The first wasn’t bad.) But you know, it’s that or sitting for long periods with pencils or standing to paint. Or doing nothing. For some reason I can’t currently focus on books.

I’m using a $10 Big W stylus (Cygnett) and $10 Procreate Pocket on phone. Just can’t seem to do a smooth flowing sketch line like I can with a traditional pencil (my posture and screen size doesn’t help) so I’m fudging a lot with paint and smudge tool. One of the brushes stopped working? The features and layers are also limited so maybe this is intended to take visual notes while out for doing fully later.

It’s not bad to experiment with though if you don’t put pressure on yourself and have some music on in the background.

Really annoying that r/ArtFundamentals went private right when I got interested in trying to learn with exercises.
