It’s a human rights issue. States can fuck themselves. Trump will do whatever he thinks will benefit him. His only intention is to enrich himself. His word is less substantial than the ether his lip sphincter farts them into. Those against women’s rights know exactly what they’re doing. They’re repeating what they did last time. Because they know how easily manipulable trump is. His views are those that spoke to him 30 seconds ago. Just like Joe Rogan…

Copious amounts of history and the things he’s done imply that you are wrong. I mean people literally said the same thing about him not attacking Roe versus wade. Remind me how did that turn out? Perhaps it’s you there should stop trying to normalize trump and gaslight everyone. And for the record I have been working at the state level. We got abortion legalized again after that dumb f*** appointed the sycophants that destroyed Roe versus Wade. Which he said he would not touch. But then he did.

I’m not convinced the “it’s up to the states to decide” bit wasn’t a pretense to make it more palatable during the election. Trump says a lot of things, he also does a lot of things. Sometimes he does what he says and othertimes not.

The guy who claimed single responsibility for ending Roe is definitely not pro-choice though.

He definitely said that. He said a lot of other things too, often contradicting. He says and does whatever helps him stay (or get back) in power, his words cannot be trusted.

That said, I hope you’re right.

The “state’s rights” bullshit will be shown as just an election lie, amongst all the rest of them. It won’t even take a year.

How do people swallow this shit, let alone 77M of them?

I have no idea. Despite living in Texas, I don’t really know very many of them. The two or three that I do know are coworkers, so don’t really want to destroy that relationship by taking about it. I would sort of like to find a couple of people to ask, but I don’t know if I can stop myself from screaming, " what the fuck is wrong with you??"

Yeah, that’s why he’s putting several of its chief architects in his cabinet…

Trump claiming he would or wouldn’t do something has no bearing on what he will actually do.

Well if we’re going to regulate women’s bodies and track and control their travel, removing their rights and effectively making them prisoners of the state, we may as well make slavery a state issue again. Why stop at women?

You’re not against abortion, but you are in support of allowing states to relegate women to a second class of citizenry. Very cool.

Slavery was enshrined in the constitution. Please read the 13th amendment.

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

If you engrained an exception into your ban then you haven’t actually got a ban.
