Sneezy cat went to the vet again- now trying antibiotics and an antihistamine. I give up on the litter box. She seems to only want to go on paper so i put a weewee pad in a box today. Will find out in the morning how it goes.
Other two kitties are still grumbly.
Got a new sliding door. Left it open for a bit today. The two pups love it! The boy goes out and in, each time looking at us like her thinks he’s doing something wrong. 🤣
How are yours?
That’s really great!
I love what i do and the kids and people that i work with. Administration is incompetent and has become more and more micromanaging because they don’t understand that they’re the problem. I’ve been out since October, going back in Feb, will probably quit in may at the end of the school year and do something different.

They’re like airlines- drop the cost by $1 and add $30 in ridiculous fees.
I’m the same. We’re remodeling a house and when i see the price of an item i do hours and hours of research trying to save a few bucks, which delays everything. We began remodeling Jan 6. Could be done by now if i were less wishy washy.
I also talk too much, especially when I’m anxious/nervous, struggle with silence when I’m with other people, and I’m too loud. It sucks but i don’t really know how to stop the nervous chatter and i can’t judge what’s the right volume. Appreciate your post and the responses.

We just sold a house after living in it for 25 years. It’s where we raised our kids. Before selling i was struggling a bit. The moving out process is exhausting and makes you just want to be done. We inherited a house that needs significant work. The remodeling of that is exciting and the proceeds from our house sale make it possible, so I’m not sad about it at all. My husband likes to drive by to criticize the new owners landscaping.
I had moviepass when they were running years ago. It was good and we used it a lot but when we tried to cancel it was like a gym membership. The only way we finally quit paying it was when they went out of business.

I work in healthcare and husband works in engineering. Hopefully we could live cheaply enough to survive on the $ we have and possibly be viewed as helpful enough to the community to gain some level of security.
It’s not the friends. It’s the distant family that you never see but still want to know about births, deaths, etc. It’s the neighborhood groups that tell you when your package gets delivered to the wrong house. Its the city groups that tell you why the railroad crossing is closed and which house has the best Halloween decorations.
One kid and his wife are not talking to us. We invited them to Christmas Eve (a fun dinner tradition we started when they were little) and to dinner today. No response. Kinda sad about that but, whatever- it’s their choice. He’s always viewed family activities as an obligation rather than an opportunity to connect. Their shittiness saves me $800 plus the time and stress of trying to find something they would like.
Other kid came over last night and will be here after while for quiche, then presents, a movie, and then going out to dinner. Going for hibachi as it was the easiest place to get steak and vegan options.
About to ask my honey for another bourbon cream coffee, throw the quiche in the oven, and find something silly to watch.
Yeah, that would do it.

I generally think of “Christ in Christmas” as a reminder about consumerism, not hate for Hanukkah, etc.
I prefer non smoked.
ETA- i don’t love cheese. When i do have it i prefer more mild flavors.
To go outside Then inside Then outside Then inside
I’m on vacation! Having fun with friends we haven’t seen since this time last year. It’s been a tough year for them - Dad passed, moved mom to a senior apartment, then mom had cancer treatments, … It’s nice that things have settled down a bit and we’re able to get together again. 3 days in Texas hill country and 3 days at the beach.
What’s good for you?
