    They just finished building 20 or so chargers in a parking lot by my house when the fucking idiot fired the team. I joked that I guess those chargers were never going to come online.

    But I was right. They still aren’t enabled yet.

    I bet charging competitors were super grateful for his blunder.

      I’d ask for the salary from the time I was unemployed up front and a contract that guarantees my job on a yearly basis. Elon would never admit to caving to demands, but his yes-men in hiring would never tell him anyway.

    Musk’s abrupt firing of the team initially seemed like a display of power—a way to assert control and show he could make tough decisions in the face of investor pressure.

    A display of power is NOT caving to investor pressure and instead doing what is best for the company. This was a display of weakness.

    The whole saga of this shit is just super baffling. It was clearly a well-functioning department that essentially established what has become the national standard EV port… and he fires the team that owns it. Like… wat.
