As the title says, I was wondering if lemmings would know what this kind of music is called / genre’d? They differ from their performers normal style considerably, but I like the smooth and and vaguely positive melancholic feel of these songs. I think both of these songs share kind of the same sound.
I’ve been a metal head since my early tweens, for way too many years, so I’m kind of wading to uncharted waters for me.
Any ideas?

Fatboy Slim - Radioactivity (Official Audio) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=la47COASlRA
You may have already checked these, but it might also help people narrow things down by finding related genres

Genre: synth-pop electronic

Genres: EDM, moombahton, trap, dancehall
I also didn’t know what moombahton was, if anyone else is curious https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moombahton
Hey thanks! Synthpop might be the closest genre - I started checking youtube with keywords you provided, and adding french to it; eg. “french synthpop , french synthwave”. Those started giving results that I percieve to be similar to the two examples.
Maybe its a sound in franchophone world or the language itself that creates the mood. Thank you!
Wow that’s cool
FWIW the Radioactivity article is about the Kraftwerk original while OP linked a Fatboy Slim remix / cover. Kinda reminds me of early Ladytron actually
I have no idea but I’ve saved this thread and hope to find out!
Thanks for sharing!
