Pattern is self-drafted. The straps attach in the front via buttons. It has 2 lengths. The back is fully smocked & the front is partially so. Waist is fully elastic. The bodice is fully lined. Waist bow is detachable via pin and can be put on a headband. I made all the little bows. Made the super poofy petticoat that fluffs up the skirt volume, too. Not that it matters. Took about 5-6 layers of tulle.

Same, the world would be a better place if we all wore such lovely attire. It’s a work of art!

I can’t fit it, but it looks really cute to me! A spring thing to wear!

I don’t know what’s wrong with people. It looks very cute and pretty and I think my wife would love it to. Unfortunately we probably live on the other side of the world.

It looks (and sounds by your description) like a crazy amount of work. I’m currently getting my first own sewing machine and try to remember what my grandma taught me 25 years ago and I’m excited! But that dress is on a level I’ll probably only ever dream of.

I hope you can keep your head up and it’ll work out for you <3

No way. That dress is cute AF! I’d totally notice a woman wearing that, and be impressed with her style.

That being said, IMO clothes are one of those things we do NOT pay what they’re worth, or respect for construction and materials. It would take a special person to see the value and be willing to pay for it.

Would working with a boutique fashion store in a stylish city be a possibility?

    Appreciate it.

Even though it was a lot of work, that doesn’t mean people will like it, unfortunately.

Congrats on your new machine! If you have any questions or need some help, feel free to reach out.

For the record I showed this to my wife because I thought it was cute and she immediately agreed. I know like, at least 3 women who would buy this in a heartbeat at $25 if it fit them.

Oh I misread, I thought you were charging $25, which we both thought was wayyyy too low. I’d think at least $70-75 and I bet that’s still not nearly enough for the work I’d bet. My wife crochet’s and…same problem.
