In the past decade sometime there was a teddy ruxpin reboot, and my wife being the nostalgic person she is really wanted to get one for our daughter, who was like 4 years old at the time.
But they werent selling them anymore, so she found a used one, and promised that daddy (me) would figure out how to get more stories on it.
Well guess what, by that point they’d already shut down the whole system to sell more stories, so my poor daughter was stuck listening to “have you ever thought about a PAN-DA” or whatever, over and over again. And I was the bad guy.
Toys for the show Dinosaur Train talk to each other (or did when my daughter was little about 10 years ago), but they only have maybe 3 phrases each and it gets super annoying. Especially when they trigger themselves for no apparent reason at 3 am.
Waking up to, “we’re gonna riiiiiiide the Dinosaur Train” in the middle of the night is not fun.
My dad went to visit relatives in Britain when I was a kid and brought me back a SuperTed book. I didn’t even know there was a cartoon for years. Then I found out the book came after the cartoon.
My dad was kind of clueless about kids.

From me? I’m visiting my asshole brother in Atlanta this weekend and my folder full of images is at home, so no comics from me this weekend I’m afraid.

I was able to post some anyway. Family visit sucks, but I expected that because my mother is a harridan and my brother is an asshole, but thankfully it’s only for the weekend.
But they won’t laugh any more …
