Advanced Flight HUD
Activating the new, more advanced flight HUD on all ships! This new HUD can be enabled per ship on the ship configuration page or fully enabled through the in game options. This advanced HUD allows players see much more dynamic information than the previous HUD and includes new acceleration displays, orientation, VSI, radio altimeter(r-alt) which is the altitude above terrain, above sea level altimeter, atmospheric pressure, and more. This advanced HUD will continue to function while in the current QT mode. This also includes new, interim icons for ship states like landing gear, coupled/decoupled, esp, and more. These current icons are attached below for quick information.
Attached to the Patch notes:
Looks like we’re also getting some cheaper vehicle repairs.
And
Mesh Configuration: 3:3:500
which means they scale it up a bit from 2:2:380 to 500 peeps and from 2 servers per system to 3 servers per system.
Lets see how this mesh… meshes :D
Wait, isn’t this “new advanced HUD” just the same thing we had previously with a fresh coat of paint? I’m glad it’s back but why are they making it into an optional feature? What’s their thought process on this, “well people don’t REALLY need their instruments to fly” or something?
Anyway, it’s a positive change and I really hope they’ll stick with easily understandable icons like the shown placeholder (?) ones.
