I’m currently trying to look through the top posts of the week on this sub and this is such an annoying problem. Is there already a github issue for it?

I’ve encountered the same behavior. I use Firefox. What seems to be helping is to hit the refresh-button in your browser - after that your feed is at the same place you left it (at least it worked when I did it). I’ve read that this is a known bug, which will be fixed soon.
