Terrible first half. Our only player that looks like they may make a difference is Rice and honestly that’s a bit of a problem as he should be unlocking Trosaard. I would move him to 6 and bring on Merino for Jorginho and swap Trosaard for Martinelli.
Feels like we just need to go into the dressing room and regroup a bit, honestly. Playing fine but the goals aren’t coming, need a bit of a think about how our central game is going. Havertz not being able to make his mark on this game so far.
Not having a stable back four probably has been hurting us more than we like to think I’m ngl, they just don’t seem to know where people will be. Thinking about that Rice backpass and both Raya and Kiwior going for it cuz the proper left back spot doesn’t have anyone there cuz Timber was inverting.
I still think the 6 issue is our biggest issue defensively. Neither Partey nor Jorginho have the legs to play the role the way we enjoyed last season and because we’re more apprehensive defensively, we can’t attack without concern this season.
