It WAS creepy. Dude has a crush on his best mates wife and instead of … idk just letting it go he has to go out of his way to make her feel awkward and terrible? She chose his friend. She married his friend. The times to tell her have long passed, move on. You’re putting her in an impossible situation to make yourself feel slightly better. Then she has to go back into sit down next to her husband and act like nothing happened for the rest of her life.
