I think most of these titles have an audience but I will be missing most of them. The two I am going to pick up are Sea of Stars and SpiderMan 2… maybe Baldur’s Gate 3 but not on release. The same applies to Mortal Kombat 1. I’m not a big fighting game fan but I do play them once they drop in price. I enjoy their campaign.
Anything on the list you’re interested in or planning to play?
Only one racing game, and no first person shooters. I for one am not really stoked about any of these.
I am sure Call of Duty will be releasing information for their next title soon. It is surprising that there are not at least one FPS title on the list.
I’ve been playing Battlefield 2042 but I am so over that game what with the problems it has had since launch, and lack of content release. Mostly though it’s the cross-play issues.
I just want a console to console AAA FPS for fucks sake that isn’t trying to latch onto the latest battle royale trend.
Maybe stop chasing the AAA ideal? AAA publishers are always going to chase the largest return on investment that they can, and right now we have so many fantastic single player indie fps’s on the market. It’d be a shame to snub them chasing AAA that doesn’t care about what you want.
Definitely true. Let’s be clear however, I don’t chase AAA shooters. They’re just typically the types I play. I am not a hardcore gamer. I’m console as well (after switching over) so I’m not going to play indie games.
Halo was a top tier shooter, call of duty was the same, battlefield was at one point. Something good will come along against.
If you’re going to be snarky suggest some titles, because I don’t need lessons in financial when it comes to popular titles.
… you can play indie games on console, they are very popular, that’s what I do, because they make fun fps. No one is being snarky. Don’t be weird.
Sadly, the battle royale trend doesn’t seem to be dying down. I think all AAA titles are going to attempt some form of it.
Yeah honestly you’re right to a degree, but maybe BF2042 was a good enough black eye for the industry, that the blatant jumping on the hype train and changing the fundamental dynamics of the game wasn’t a great idea.
