He’ll lose the civil case for wrongful death that the father filed. What doesn’t make sense is the jury being deadlocked on the higher charge but finding him not guilty on the lesser charge. They couldn’t decide if he committed manslaughter but could decide that he didn’t commit negligent homicide? Even his lawyers couldn’t believe this would happen and that’s why they were requesting a mistrial.
This is also why jury trials should have a different jury selection process.
Such as?
No thank you.
Then why did you bring it up?
No thank you to a conversation with you.
You seem to feel differently elsewhere. Within this same timespan.

I look forward to your next stalking of me across Lemmy.
Oh are you following me around lemmy to harass me? Pretty sure thats against the rules.
Rules for me, not for thee. You’re a real good guy. One of the best guys. Awesome rule enforcer. Great role model.
You’ll notice a significant overlap between the people who cheer this verdict and the ‘all lives matter’ crowd.
I am sorry, but anyone who has ever choked out someone knows to release when they go limp. He did not release and held him for several minutes.
Can I choke a person responsible for killing thousands with greedy/bad corporate policy?
In the last week, we learned that the answer this question is: absolutely yes. You’ll probably get away with it too.
He’s definitely going to jail. Unfortunately. The jury will be persuaded.
The news alert about the police catching a suspect came out about five minutes after I posted that last comment.
Damn
Hopefully he can charm the jury, or lift his shirt and show off those abs. Wooo. I’d kill a CEO to be on that jury.
Mmmm, murderous abs…
