Does that show up okay?
I usually don’t paste a full page as the thumbnail / lead image, so please let me know if it’s hard to see.
Anyway, that’s Dutch Flemish, mad-woman character Esther Verkest, with my earlier introduction being here.
I find her a crazy, counter-cultural figure that vastly needs more translations in to English, not unlike good ol’ Henk!
Shows up great!
Esther Verkest is flemish, thank you very much.
Verdomme! (I keep making that same klootzak mistake)
That’s very similar to an episode of love sex and robots.
It’s a classic theme I would think, for example via “A wolf in sheep’s clothing,” and probably via legends / archetypes that go wayyy back.
Perhaps one takeaway might be-- much of our creativity and conceptual invention might be as old as the hills*, yet for the most part, the success in expressing such comes down to the skill of the narrator / artist.
Oof, that’s probably the clumsiest thing I’ve ever written, but hopefully I’m making a shred of sense, there.
* English expression, not sure how many other languages have that or similar
Weird one. I like it
