New to alchemy in general, apologies if I say something incorrect.

I used a Cursed Infusion on a +5 Bow (might have been +4?) and it didn’t upgrade it at all.

After drinking 4 Potions of Experience to get to Level 30, the Bow only levelled up to +6 and stayed there after I removed the curse.

I’ve seen people get to +8 so I must have done something wrong.

Bow gets +1 per 5 Lv., ending at +6 at Lv. 30. CI grants upgrades in proportion to original upgrade. +0 to +5 gets additional +1, and +6 should get +2. Try using CI again.

Ah, so the bow must have been +4, which the curse upgraded to +5.

The run is over so I can’t test it, but if I’m understanding this correctly, you would have to be at level 30 before using the Cursed Infusion to get it to +8?

Kind of a shame imo. Thanks〜

You need to keep the curse or the extra upgrade gets removed as well.

Exploding curse works really good with spirit bow as the explosion takes place next to the target rather then where you are.

Yup. I used all my infusions trying for something good (apparently Annoying is good but I didn’t know).

I didn’t have any infusions after hitting Lvl 30 and was hoping that it retroactively would turn into a +2

I think the bow upgrades based on usage only?

It is based on the character level, up to +5. I believe, the only way to (effectively) upgrade the bow is by using a ring of sharpshooting
