Whole wheat pasta is awesome! You just have to lean into it. Introduce a little more acid to cut the added earth taste. Immediately after draining, squeeze some citrus or drizzle a tiny bit of vinegar over the pasta and let it cool for like two minutes while you finish your sauce. I do this with semolina as well.
This looks delicious, but it would look more delicious if you tossed the pasta and the veggies in a little bit of sauce, then plated the veggies over extra sauce over the pasta.
Meh, when you mix it up it is exactly the same. The post mixing pictures looked worse. I made this after working an 10 hour day

yeah I just quickly mixed up fresh basil, lemon juice, walnuts, silken tofu and some pasta water to blend it all up. I added garlic to my half but my partner is allergic to alliums so I had to make two versions lol
When you say silken tofu, do you mean the one what comes in the shelf stable packages?
Yeah I used the mori-nu boxed tofu for this. I think that one is the best for sauces
