What a fucking disappointment. I’ve not watched the final episode and I’m not going to, as apparently Netflix only understands something sucks if people don’t finish watching it.

Season 1 was fantastic. Season 2 was… tolerable. The writing for Season 3? I’ve never been so bored, disengaged, or had suspense so masterfully deflated.

My wife and I gave up after two episodes. Neither of us have read the books or played the games. We just think the show sucks.

Unpopular opinion but I liked it. Sick fighting scenes.

To be fair, I like mission impossible so clearly my opinion doesn’t mean much.

I was half way through the third episode and it dawned on me that I just don’t care. The story isn’t engaging. There had been like 5 minutes of monster hunting which was the best bit. I like the main 4 actors but they’re not doing anything with them.

I might slog through a few more episodes but idk if I can be arsed finishing it.

I watched the first episode shortly after it was released and haven’t gone back to watch the second yet. I’m sure I’ll get on to it but I’ve not been gripped at all - compared to the earlier seasons (especially the first which I binged without trouble).

It boggles the mind how something with this much money behind it can turn out this bland. The dialogue feels like clicking through a cutscene, maybe intentional? And it’s all just everyone moping around. And then the betrayal twist was weirdly convoluted, maybe because I was already checked out by that time. And they just keep flicking between different locations, they can never finish one scene on its own, probably because they know that the writing is shit and unengaging.

The monsters are completely uninspired as well, every single one looks like you glued a praying mantis to a fish.

Plot wise nothing happened. Can’t wait for season 4 in two years where the Witcher and Ciri…walk around the countryside accomplishing nothing while some random war is fought in the back. Absolutely pointless.

Had a good laugh at the Gerhard scene though, great bit.

Season 3 is so boring and it’s all over the place. It feels like a soap with ten seconds of action thrown in each episode. I’ve only seen the first six so far and will just grind out the last two and leave it. Season 1 was so good. 2 was meh and 3 is just awful. Rience was supposed to be this powerful foe and he gets killed in what 1.5 seconds? Cahir just drops and joins their team? I mean when we finally meet Emyhr will he also just turn around and apologise to Ciri and make her the queen? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Was awful. Half way through the final episode I was like “why am I still watching this?” So I stopped. This season was so all over the place trying to both stay true to the actual story but at the same time making shit up that had no business being on screen—was like it was fighting with itself to be the made up nonsense of season 2 while at the same time be true to the books and was a wild failure.

Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this. I realize now that I might have preferred a Witcher for hire show with the occasional nod to a bigger story than all this boring conflict.

My favorite eps were probably where he took on the spirit in the house and the dragon quest.
