    What exactly are potato waffles and what is the preferred method if consumption?

      Ever since the first time I saw a box labeled “potato waffles,” I thought they were basically hash browns, but I just looked it up and apparently this is the source of some controversy.

      So to answer your question … They are either hash browns or not hash browns. Probably they are consumed in a manner similar to hash browns.

        Nope they weren’t fried and were more like that:

        I followed this recipe (in French).

        I ate them as a side dish.

          I haven’t seen anything like that before, but admittedly my French cooking knowledge comes from high school French class and Julia Child.
