Yeah, just as soon as he finishes buying Greenland, I’m sure.

He didn’t say he would retake control of it. It was much stupider than that. This is what he said:

If the principles, both moral and legal, of this magnanimous gesture of giving are not followed, then we will demand that the Panama Canal be returned to us, in full, and without question. To the officials of Panama, please be guided accordingly!

So he’s sent a sternly-worded tweet (or whatever they call it on Truth Social) and I’m sure if they say, “we don’t have to do that, genius,” he’ll definitely spring into action and post something angrier about it.

They’re called Truths and Retruths, unironically.

Not by me. Even ironically. I’m going to pretend I don’t know that because that’s too silly for me to use.

Another 4 years of this bullshit. All because it makes the stupid half of America feel tough. The smart thing to do (not just for Panama but everyone foreign country that Trump targets) is to just ignore it and wait for Trump to get distracted by other things, which shouldn’t take long.

I’m wondering which shipping magnate he talked to about this before sending it out. Trump famously only latches onto the politics of anyone he’s spoken to in the last hour, after all.
