Maybe this article should have lead with the terroristic threats instead of burying a single mention of it at the end of the article. What a silly ragebait article.
This article is completely shit and edited as to omit literally all of the critical information.
Clearly the same source article, but has several critical pieces of information:
- The “squatter”(Johnson) was related to a previously evicted tenant’s partner.
- Hale forced her way onto the property *and had previous knowledge that Johnson was there, this wasn’t a “squatter breaks into home”
- Hale had started the process to legally evict Johnson but decided to go do it herself and not wait for the judge to sign the official order.
- Hale threatened to “go get her gun”, which was recorded.
There is so much missing from this story it’s useless.

Not really. Squatters rights made it the squatter’s property, and if she didn’t leave she got arrested.
I’ve thought in this since I have 2.4 acres of swamp. Sometimes I meander off my land, and some bits may be on other people’s land. (There’s a border I haven’t mapped and am not clear about.)
So can I just build a cabin out there and call it mine if no one objects in $x time frame? Off to learn about it!
