Thanks again for working on this. I know the little “hackathon” fizzled a bit with only you starting off on something concrete, but I still think it spread a bit of awareness. I’ve been promoting it in threads where I can, but let me know if you prefer I didn’t.

I just think if others promote it, you can’t be accused of self-promotion. :-)

    True 😅 It is sort of a delicate balance. On the one hand you don’t want to get too spammy, on the other you have to get the word out somehow. I tend to err on the side of caution on these matters.

      I’ll keep that in mind. I did a few comments this morning, but that’s it for now. :-) Will wait till after the blackouts to see what happens.

    This is lemmy. This is not the for-profit reddit. We don’t have advertisements, so we don’t prohibit self-promotion.

    Also, this is awesome, thanks for your work on this! Really looking forward to being able to use reddit apps on lemmy.

      I was talking about promoting it on reddit. I started the /r/apihackathon subreddit and this project kicked off over there. And I’ve been mentioning it in all the big “app x is shutting down” threads.
