At a botanical garden in Phoenix some cactuses can’t take the heat.

      Octopus, octopi, octopuses
Plural of cactus is cactus, cacti or cactuses It’s all Greek to me, but I’m not Latin that bother me.

Octopodes, if you want to keep both parts Latin.

Greek, Latin plural would be Octopi and the root word is Greek.

Plural of cactus is cacti. Plural of octopus is octopuses. Octopi is apparently acceptable now too, but I’m not convinced.

Octopus has a Greek root, so the correct plural would be octopodes. Octopuses and octopi are both acceptable, though. But I do love to bring up etymology whenever this comes up.

combined with a lack of seasonal monsoons, have caused saguaro cactuses at the Desert Botanical Garden to become “highly stressed,”

I’m sure the heat is fucking them up, but this is seeping with click bait. The Monsoons are coming . I’m expecting it to be violent. Also, I have no idea wtf I’m talking about. Why are we still trying to live in a dessert? Yeah, I put in an extra s for everyone talking about cacti
