    The irony is most on the left don’t want kids to guzzle high fructose corn syrup either…

    But conservative politicians kept putting corn subsidies in to bribe rural voters, de-regulating corporations so they can, and gutting regulatory agencies abilities to do anything…

    Like, the person in the screenshot is mad science is still fighting, and giving an example of a battle we already lost and saying that means we lost the war.

    Like, this doesn’t seem like a community that’s gonna give a fuck about what’s real, but this is one of the stupidest arguments I’ve seen in a long time. Whoever Max Lugavere is, he has no idea what he’s talking about.

    Which is likely why he’s on Twitter with a blue checkmark

    The confirmation bias is that we expect researchers to apologize just for publishing results if the results disagree with what we currently think. The mere exposure is the fact that we already know sugar is bad but because we are surrounded by it those studies don’t matter. It can’t really be bad…
