The Apple Watch Series 9 and second-generation Apple Watch Ultra should see a considerable increase in performance, with 2023’s wearable launches set to have a much better chip powering it.

I’ve had zero reason to upgrade from Series 5 since I only use it for fitness tracking, setting timers, and apple pay.
The performance is great, even on watches few generations down the line. From my point of view there is nothing lacking nor needing improvement in that departement.
Battery life, on the other hand, is something I feel needs improvement. Maybe this new chip will bring forth a noticable increase in power efficiency.
