I understand why the other years are shown but why 1990? Just a random choice or did something happen that year that I’m forgetting?
I mean I don’t know but I have been surprised at little things the artist has done but it was the year tim berners lee did a first like www server thing.

I have no idea which, if any, of these events the author might have had in mind.
