Summary

Republican-controlled states see Donald Trump’s re-election as a mandate to push conservative policies, including school choice, anti-LGBTQ+ measures, tax cuts, and environmental deregulation.

23 states will have full Republican control, allowing measures like Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders’ expansion of education savings accounts and Ohio’s “Parents’ Bill of Rights.”

Critics, including groups like Democracy Forward, are preparing legal challenges, citing public opposition to extreme policies such as anti-abortion measures and climate rollbacks.

Courts may become key battlegrounds, as seen with Montana’s recent ruling upholding environmental protections. Debate over these policies is expected to intensify.

These media outlets need to stop using Republican propaganda like “school choice”. Call it what it is: undermining public education.
