    Leave it to VLC to implement one of the few good uses…

    When I grabbed that link tho I was surprised you can contribute “materials” as well…

    If you own a rare piece of media VLC can’t play (even stuff like satellite cards) you can mail it to VLC so someone can try to get that format to work in VLC.

      would be awesome but i doubt it ever will. maybe vlc could export the subtitle file, that would be at least something.

        Jellyfin supports using VLC as the internal media player ya know. It’s not a far leap.

            It’s an option in their Android/FireTV client. I don’t know what it supports, just know that it’s there.
