The end of that sounds incomplete “but only the first part”, there’s something missing in your statement.

No, because when a statement is hurful insulting, or offensive, that does not make the statement wrong, false, or incorrect. Truth can be complimentary, and truth can be very hurtful.
It doesn’t make it true either. And that is the point they’re making.
