I recently cleared the Selune Temple, killed all of the leaders except Minthara, who I just knocked out, have done the party and received directions from Halsin to the Moonrise Towers.

All good, right? I should just get to the mountains or the underdark and head to act 2, right? Issue is, the party is only at level 4 right now. I assume I should find some encounters, but I’m not sure what level I should get to, and if there are enough encounters left to get to that level. I currently can think of:

  • auntie Ethel’s fight.
  • the goblin camp outside of the temple (this might be enough on its own
  • the encounter at the port in the putrid bog (where kagha was going to meet according to the note)

Will doing these be enough to get to a level where act 2 is accomplishable?

    The underdark and the mountain pass both count as act 1. There is a LOT of content there.

    There’s also all the Risen road stuff, and the village basements…

    So, you’ve yet to do the Paladins of Tyr, both hyena encounters, harpies, owlbear, skellies in the dungeon, spider, goblins on the outpost just outside the temple, goblins outside the temple, Auntie ethel, and the woads. Not to mention all the goblins in the Blighted Village. Those net some XP as well. That’s for the coast. All of that should get you 5th level, maybe even a quarter of the way into level 6.

    As others have mentioned, the Risen Road and the Underdark are both still Act I. Act II is the shadowlands, and everything therein.

    Depending on your builds, especially if you have a wizard in your party, I would check the traders who are still alive. Their inventory restocks every long rest, and they get new items every couple level ups. I just reached level 5 and I’ve found some of the lower level armors at a +2 variant. You might also find some spells and useful potions.

    If you’re on Honor, I’d suggest doing Underdark first and Risen Road second.

      They mentioned the Gith patrol, so I’m assuming at this point they’ve done the Risen Road. The mountain pass is beyond that, so it’s around Rosymorn.
