Looks like it’s trying to be remotely updated. Who knows if it will finish or if it has crashed. It’s Macy’s so it’s probably been like that for weeks.
A long time ago I took a picture of a price checker at a Toys R Us with the WindowsCE desktop. It had the IE shortcut and everything.
They still run Windows CE these days too lmao

These price checkers are basically just thin clients working off the central store PoS server. These models run a super old version of Windows CE that loads the store applications at startup. This one just looks like it can’t connect to the server.
The server is doing the best it can, no need to call it names.
