The YT algorithm washed ashore this review from a random small youtuber. I foud it interesting enough to share with you, as it has a headphone jack and seems to have good repairability.
Since we figured out what the features of this phone is, I think this phone is a step in the right direction. Repairability is good. Headphone jack is good. Price is really good. 3 years of OS updates is not.
Starting from the trend from last year, I hope more manufacturers start giving 5-7 years of updates, even on mid range phones. Hopefully these companies start to realize less OS updates doesn’t mean more phone sales for them but it means more consumers avoid their products.
Everything is accurate except the headphone jack part. I checked GSMArena for info.Apparently, it does have a headphone jack.
The HMD Fusion product page makes no mention of it but several places on the internet says there is one.
Look at the first image in this article. Nokiamob.net
Actually every article I found before November, their version has a headphone jack.
Weird.
Edit: JerryRigEverything got the phone. It looks like his model has the headphone jack. The video was published on December 28, 2024.
Also the HMD Youtube account has a video for this and the exploded view of the phone has a gap in there. Video was from 4 months ago.
I think GSMArena is wrong and HMD forgot to add it to their product description.
Same on this reviewer (TechSpurt): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo2zB2uakdA
Jack mentioned at 9:10
Ok, thanks for the info. HMD should add this info to its product page.
Where do you see that it has a headphone jack?
Weird. At 2:58 that guy clearly points out the headphone jack. Nowhere mentioned on any HMD sites, though. Maybe a late stage descision to scrap the jack, and the reviewed phone is an early production trial unit?
Thanks for the info.
Digital Trends has a model with a headphone jack too.
digitaltrends HMD Fusion article
Weird.
It does not according to GSMArenaEdit: The video shared by OP and other reviews mention it. The official product page does not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
People, stop bringing up stupid headphone jack! It is the last thing that decides what phone I’ll be getting.
That’s great I guess
The rest of us want a headphone jack
