I’m working on setting up a DC UPS for my home network closet (router, NAS, cameras, etc). Ideally for simplicity, I would have these connected in parallel:

  1. CV/CC power supply set to 3.3V/cell or ~70% SOC
  2. 8s LiFePO4 battery, 25.6V nominal
  3. Load (buck and boost converters to 5V, 12V, 48V)

The batteries I have in-hand are these: https://k2batterystore.com/collections/catalog/products/24v-11ah-lithium-iron-phosphate-battery

What I’m mainly concerned about is whether or not the batteries will properly maintain balance in this setup without a smart charger cycling them up to 100% SOC every so often. Does anyone have references or reading material on this subject?
