Don’t look at it while driving either, that can end even worse.

That handrail isn’t there just for old people. Use it, every time. Make two trips if you can’t carry everything. Gravity is always there, just waiting for you to slip up.

A coworker of mine smokes, so he goes to take smoke breaks a lot and this man is looking at his phone the entire time. Not just while smoking, but also walking the two stories down the stairs to go outside and going back up again. He works in a different department, so I don’t regularly talk to him, but my office has a view of the stairs so I see him walk by every time. Like my man, what are you doing on that phone that can’t wait till you are outside? When he comes back he’s still glued to his phone screen like his life depends on it.

I’m pretty sure I can’t look at my phone and walk down stairs at the same time, I would fall down for sure.

As someone with chronic ingrown toenails, paying close attention to where my feet are is second nature. As someone with dogs, doubly so, especially for stairs lol. Those teleporting toys…

I fixed my ingrown toenails by permanently removing the nails.

Now I just have 2 holes that weird pseudo nails try and grow in (until I rip them off) that are extra sensitive to dog claws.

I somehow miss the feeling of tugging up on the end of the nail, but other than that it is amazing not having the constant toe infections.

Ha, that’s been presented as an option. I’m pleasantly surprised I didn’t receive the common “just cut your nails properly / some other remedy” response that doesn’t apply to my two big toes that have nails that grow backwards into my flesh lol.

Fortunately for me I don’t have to worry about infection, rather, I’ve gotten so used to them prevention is easy. And my one big toe now grows the I ingrown portion somewhat separate, so when I notice it ingrown I can pull it out like a loose tooth. The other one I still have to get operated one once every few years, and because I’m in the lucky % that has nail beds that regrow, the “destroy part of the nailbed” solution only works for a year or so.

Another reason I’m not getting the entire nail remove lol.

Oh, yeah, I had the partial nailbed regrow twice on each big toe - getting rid of 100% of the bailbed prevented it from coming back!
