And why would the people who voted for him care? They’ve never cared about any of his shortcomings or broken promises, they’re not going to care about this either.

Respectfully, 99% of voters couldn’t care less about broken promises. It’s why the Democrats and Republicans still get elected.

Also, it was a very bad campaign strategy to run a brain-damaged candidate and then a candidate who spent months repeating memes and telling people to be joyful about their impoverishment.

My family won’t care. The best I could hope for is “🤷 idk”, but I’ll probably get “you don’t understand how politics works, he can’t just wave a magic wand.”

In fact, now that ICE has started rounding up people in California, all I’ve heard is, “But the other side said we can’t say merry christmas!!11 😭”

I think, “I don’t care. It doesn’t affect me [right now].” explains most of these hate laws.

My dad and in-laws voted for him. As far as I know everyone else on both sides of the extended family voted Harris. I don’t know why those three fell for his bs.

Fuck this. I don’t think it likely, but what if he makes eggs cheaper. I wouldn’t put it past that administration to remove all inspections, nutrition, food safety, etc requirements. That could drive prices down at the risk of health. Maybe he just decides to subsidize eggs and milk.

    Would it be worth it?

There is a quote I think about alot. I’m not sure where I first heard it. I’ll try to repeat it from memory.

We have a term for the people who joined the Nazi party but didn’t really hate the Jews or believe in the cause. The people who joined because they wanted to keep their job, get promoted, maintain their friends or social standing, or other reasons along those lines.

We call those people “Nazis”. No one cares why you became a Nazi, we don’t want to hear the excuse. You were a Nazi, we call you a Nazi.

The point I’m making is simple. Maybe they did vote for Trump because the legitimately thought groceries would be cheaper. Cool… You still voted for the bad person who does bad things hoping that would make things more convenient for you. Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. It doesn’t matter. My opinion of you remains the same regardless of your reasons.i don’t care why.

When I was young, I grew up in a major, progressive, city in California. I always thought the idea of racism was dead, and that people were being ridiculous to make such a big deal out of it.

Then the internet really took off, and more and more I was exposed to raw, unfiltered opinions.

Racism, biggotry, misogyny, cruelty, and all of the other shitty human behaviors have been amplified by echo chambers and support groups like “X” and “Truth Social”. The more people like Trump win, the more I see just how awful it is when people throw away propriety.

We see the Trump voters. We see their support for these awful, dehumanizing behaviors. We see them turn a blind eye to crime, cruelty, and genocide. These are not good people. These are the people that drag us into chaos, war, and desolation.

“Lives and dignity” of only 50% of the people around you, and “don’t cost less,” is vastly understating the problems.

Also, it was never about the Palestinians, either, or Kamala Harris being too harsh on immigration. That was just the hook that they used to fool you, and it worked.

And after they are reminded they will laugh confirm that they don’t care and that at least they “owned the libs”.

These are not good people who temporarily do evil because they were tricked. They do evil because they hate those who are different and that won’t change.

They don’t even know what a liberal is. It’s just a term meaning “not my team” eg the opposing highschool except it’s real peoples life and no longer highschool football.

I wouldn’t talk about lives or wives and daughters on this one. The argument that “Their guy sucks just as badly as our guy” isn’t the brilliant argument some people think it is.

The Biden presidency saw the end of Roe vs Wade and Obama, though he had the power to codify abortion rights into law, chose not to and later said publicly it wasn’t a priority. All the Democrats did in response to the Roe repeal leak was use it for fundraising, which suggests that everything they say about caring for womens’ rights amounts to an empty fundraising pitch.

And, when it comes to lives, remember that Genocide Joe was committed to letting Israel bomb kids with your tax money until the literal end of his presidency. The ceasefire starts when the next president assumes the office.

Oil companies don’t back GOP to make gas cheaper. OPEC leaders often are friendly to GOP historically, and then US oil companies do increase supply before next election to help fix it, as another trend.

What oil industry “needs” is suppressing EVs and renewables. “Woke mind virus” must be exterminated outside of US too, and woke = “radical left climate alarmists”. EU and China have decreased fossil fuel use for electricity significantly this year. Especially EU, but China energy growth has been higher. China has also reduced oil use/imports. Normally, renewables progress would cut fossil fuel use even more next year, but oil industry wants Trump to extort world into climate terrorist acceptance.

The key brainworm that media plants in public is that renewable energy is not energy. Even if you love your gas guzzler, gasoline is cheaper when others have alternatives, and you and others are not forced to submit to extortionist monopolists/cartels.
