Ahead of the stable launch in March, Google is rolling out Android 15 QPR2 Beta 3 for Pixel devices. Quarterly Platform Releases…
I’m getting confused. Google has been pushing Android 15 to my Pixel 6 Pro for months now - I’ve resisted because I know there were some issues with how P6 and A15 interacted.
But if they are doing QPR2 now, and not stable until March, does that mean they have been intentionally pushing a pre-release version at me?
Seems odd - I get why they would make early versions available to enthusiasts (and in the past I’ve used such early releases), but seems strange to be actively promoting it to general users.
I suspect I’m missing something here.
To get this release, you’d have to be in the beta program, which is entirely optional.
My 6a runs A15 QPR1 without issue. I really like having the 80% charge limiter.
Ah ok, thanks. Still slightly hesitant about accepting the update tbh, but will maybe give it a go.
