We shall see, she’s probably ready to have chicks this year. Will be interesting to see what happens to the ecology if she nests nearby. There has been contention between Eagle and resident Ospreys since she started hanging around four years ago; general harassment and stealing fish. I would rather the White-tailed kite that came down San Diego creek nest here. Can’t say eagles are not majestic even if they eat garbage and dead animals.

I can say they are doing well in the PNW and it wouldn’t be unheard of to see one or a handful of the birds die from one thing or another. There are a lot of them here. They have lots of pocket spaces that migrating birds wouldn’t be and if DDT couldn’t beat them, the bird flu wont
