Probably the only actual boon from unification would be a bit more of mountainous frigid space and lots of rocky coast. Because unfucking what’s been going on for the last eighty-odd years would make Germany’s unification a Disney holiday.I’m sure not having a crazy government with nukes and artillery pointed at their capital would be a non-trivial benefit.
That is, for their government, a perk. While your people are worried about their neighbors, they do not stop and consider if you’re doing a good job.

NK has about 1,300,000 active duty military personell and another 7 million reservists. They are unfortunately not going to run out any time soon.

They might as well toss them out of an airplane onto hard pavement with no parachute.
They could ask the Russian VDV about that, they allegedly dropped 50 paratroopers in the Black Sea at the start of the invasion.
Ukraine could help NK with free fertilizer now that I think about it. Every few hours they would have a plane dropping ruzzians as required.
