Lobbying is when Democrats do it, Bribery is when Republicans do it.

Corruption is when Republicans do it, insider trading is when Democrats do it.

Both accept corporate money to deny any good for the American public that would hurt their bottom line. And then we get fascism because that’s good for the bottom line.

The Swampman makes the swamp swampier. Anyone surprised? Anyone at all? No? Didn’t think so.

Lmao if you think it wasn’t already legal for a loooooong ass time, you are out to fucking lunch

Maybe this legalizes more blatant and obvious methods, sure, we could debate that. But money runs the government, has for a very long time, and if you don’t see that then you have a lot of reading to catch up on

I mean given the chief justice of the supreme court was pretty obvious im not sure how more obvious something can be.

This is still against established law. He will be sued immediately to stop it, and a federal judge will strike it down. Anyone caught doing this is at risk, and not Trump.

And then the tribunal of six will rule bribery is an exercise of freedom of speech, and that’s that.

I’m from Canada so I’m not sure if I’m getting this right, but didn’t he stack the supreme court with republicans/sycophants after RBG died?

Takes quite a while for them to even think about hearing the case, and if it’s already challenged against exist and clear law, they’ll need to come up with some serious bullshit reasons to even hear it. Either way, will take quite awhile.

And in the meantime, Trump et al will continue to do anything they want. The delay is a feature.

Judge stopping it is precedent. Can’t be overriden until a high court takes it up.

Judges have time and time again ruled against Trump’s shenanigans, but then not enforced those rulings “pending appeal.”

I believe the playbook is to say he already expected that from the judge and attack them while appealing the decision. Chip away at it until something breaks. If the playing field is not level, you can just keep the ball in play to force a win

So does that make it legal to extort from them as well?
