Uh, wut? Why TF would Oracle have any interest owning a social media company?

“Our business partners overwhelmingly want a short video format social site to, uh, complement our suite of backend corporate technology solutions.” - No Oracle C-level executive ever

    Hahaha! What a hoot!

Rich Asshole Ellison ran out of ways to be a dickweed to the rest of the industry he’s in. So he’s gotta branch out…

I believe Oracle is running analytics collection for TikTok traffic in the US. There’s some weird preexisting connection between the companies though.

It’s about selling user data. It’s always about selling user data. And why not diversify into that when you’re a massive corporation that is fine doing anything immoral as long as it makes them money (like all massive corporations)?

Also, Oracle already tried to buy TikTok four years ago, so of course they’ll try again with Trump in office.

I did not know they tried to buy TikTok years ago! Huh!

        Today I learned.

Prediction: It’ll be a quick flip to a different buyer. Oracle is the first buyer to make it look ‘okay’ to the general public, before Oracle sells it to X or Meta to shore up their finances.

Honestly if they wanted to kill TikTok, handing it to Oracle is an easy way to do it. Everything they touch turns to shit.

Dear God at least give them a chance with IBM.

Oracle would use it to sue Facebook and YouTube for stealing their IP for vertical video, all while the platform combusts.

    hmmmmm…

    Actually on second thought…
