I honestly think I may be learning German because of all the German communities on here. Well, that and all the Rammstein I’ve been listening to for nearly 30 years at this point, then looking up translations. I think it’s really cool to learn through osmosis. Also, as I get better at learning the language, I also wind up learning about the country and it’s people. Super neat. It’s the first time anything like that has ever happened to me. (Still can’t write it though.)
