I started a job where I don’t have any access to a kitchen to warm up food. On a whim, I bought an insulated thermos to bring hot food in. I tried it for the first time yesterday, and I have to say it was so pleasant to have have an instantly ready hot meal when I stopped to have lunch.

I bought a thermos years ago and showed it to my mate at work.

He asked what it was and I said it could keep cold things cold or hot things hot

Lo and behold, he came in next day and he’d bought one too!

I asked him what he had in it and he said “Two cups of tea and a choc ice”

Even in summer, I hate a cold sandwich. I’m glad you found relief! Is it possible to use convenience store microwaves for reheating leftovers? Most don’t mind as long as you don’t bring fish or make a mess.

Good suggestion, thanks. I’m not always sure what area I’m going to be working in, but there’s almost always a convenience store around.

Very welcome! If they balk, buy a pack of gum or a water, but honestly, I’ve never had one balk.

You can put everything in a thermos if the opening is wide enough, I had a colleague bring in a whole bouquet of sausages once.

Sausage is not something that comes to mind when I think about a bouquet.
