Summary
Trump’s immigration crackdown threatens disaster recovery efforts, as immigrant workers make up the majority of skilled restoration labor.
Deportations could stall rebuilding in hurricane- and wildfire-affected states like Florida, California, and North Carolina.
Trump has also proposed eliminating FEMA, further jeopardizing recovery.
Experts warn that past anti-immigrant policies, like Florida’s in 2022, forced workers underground, worsening labor shortages.
The disaster-recovery workforce, built over two decades, cannot be easily replaced, and without it, rebuilding efforts across the U.S. will face severe delays.
I mean, this wouldn’t be a bad thing if there was a plan to replace the workforce. Disaster recovery shouldn’t hinge on paying illegal immigrants slave wages.
well, there will be no food to eat, so everyone will starve anyway…
People seem to be in shock and all that Trump is tearing down walls without regard to whether or not they’re load bearing.
Part of the design of project 2025 is to reduce everything to rubble, when there’s nothing left there will be no choice but to rebuild.
And they plan to hold the keys and be in charge of what is built.
A complete collapse is what they’re going for, this isn’t half-assery or weaponized incompetence, it’s part of the plan and we are all collateral.
