Mathys Tel has apparently got cold feet on joining the spuds, and will stay in Germany until the Summer. Glad his moment of madness passed. Nobody should be joining that joke of a club if they value their careers.
Doku, Ake, Dias, and Rodri are out for City on Sunday.

Word is that Jorginho was going to do a pre-agreement with Fluminese, but we’ve blocked it, like with Tierney. No surprises.
Tierney’s pre-agreement is done, the only thing we’re blocking is him leaving before his contract’s done, iirc.

I didn’t watch that match but having now looked back at highlights, yes.
It feels frustrating we’re once again so close to the end of a transfer window and there’s been no signings.
But, it must be so difficult to pry high profile players mid-season from other clubs with theor own ambitions (i.e. Aston Villa). Not to mention we may have lost some swaying power when Edu left.
It seems as though Watkins wants to come to Arsenal, so if we up our bid to 50, we might get him. Haven’t heard anything more about Duran’s medical at Al-Ittihad (?), nor Tottenham buying Tel, so clearly Bayern are waiting to see whether someone outbids them. The thing about us recently is that I wouldn’t be surprised if we just randomly buy someone from Italy who we’ve never heard of.
Update: Duran is definitely leaving Villa. Makes it harder to get Watkins but not impossible - they want a few signings and are up against the PSR wall.
Now seeing several reports that Watkins wants to stay at Villa. Might be a negotiating tactic, but I’m not sure. Also seeing some fluff that we’re still on the Vlahovic train.
