My current jerk off fantasy is that the EU and Canada bring in very strict regulations for data privacy, that completely fuck over American tech’s ad driven business models. This would boost the fediverse like crazy + destroying American tech (which is a HUGE chunk of their economy)
To all our friends in the Commonwealth – please urge your local governments to seek expanding trade with Canada and Mexico. Let’s all work to reduce our reliance on the US economy right now. We need to show we can survive without them, if they choose to sustain this hostile action.

As a Swede I have seen an increased amount of more authentic Mexican food stuffs here in the last ten years or so, and I hope we get even more in the future, I really hope the EU increase imports from Mexico and Canada
What would you recommend I look for from Sweden? I’m always open to new foods to try!

Hallonbåtar however are fantastic, they are jelly candies made from raspberry jelly and shaped into boats.

I don’t know why he wouldnt. We did the same thing last time. I think this round will get worse. There won’t be a free trade deal at the end of it, I think that era is gone. I think Canada and Mexico will have to take further measures eventually, moving away from American IP agreements and doing it in such a way that it forms a model for other countries that are hit with US tariffs .
I’d argue the opposite.
Canada’s Liberals are bullies. Massive bullies. They bully their own MPs and ministers, they bully their own people, and when they felt like they could get away with it they bullied the US president. And they spent 10 years spitting on the retarded kid in charge of the United States, And now they’re shocked that the retarded kid is fighting back.
We’d be in a totally different scenario if we had a leader like Chretien in charge, he dealt with the bully George W. Bush by being wily and clever, not by trying to out-bully the bully. But that’s not how der fuhrer Trudeau functions. He only has one mode, and it doesn’t work when he’s not the most powerful person in the room. His little toadies only know the same language by the way. Freeland is claiming she should be the next party leader because Trump is afraid of her. No, he isn’t. He just doesn’t like you because you’re a jerk.
Trump isn’t like a native justice minister, Trudeau can’t just kick him out of the party for not doing as he’s told. He can’t tell Trump to sit down and shut up like he did his first secretary. He can’t demote Trump like he did to Freeland when she didn’t go along with his vote buying scheme late last year. When he’s not able to do that, the pathetic nature of his one note bullying becomes clear.
