The NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory is collecting public weather reports through a free app available for smart phones or mobile devices. The app is called 'mPING,' for Meteorological Phenomena Identification Near the Ground.

    Nothing associated with the federal government is now trustworthy as any data will be only presented if politically convenient. Best to starve the beast and fix it when we don’t have fascists at the helm. It sounds ridiculous for weather but anything that can be misused, will.
