    You know what’s kinda crazy? It isn’t even that hard to do.

    Your typical autistic person you’ll run into often enough to have a real conversation with, all you gotta do is explain one of those typically unspoken rules, maybe answer a few questions, and it isn’t a big deal. More other than not, not only will they gladly try to do things a different way, but they’re more likely to do so in a friendly and chill way than neurotypical people learning a new explicit rule at work or whatever.

    Yeah, there’s exceptions, but my experience with autistic people has been very positive once I figured out to just be honest and direct. Not that it was an overnight realization that dropping a lot of the unspoken rules could improve communication.

    Again, on an individual level, you deal with the individual, there isn’t a monolith there.
