A few years ago I started watching cricket to help me get through October-Febuary. It is still the time I watch most but I ended up being interested enough to watch a various matches year-round.

If you’d like to consider it I recommend starting with this Youtube vid Cricket For Baseball Fans.

If that interests you enough I recommend checking out the Bangeledesh Preimer Leauge (BPL) which has its sem-final and final this week. The BPL is a T20 Leauge. T20 is a newer more popular variantion of the sport where games last about 3 hours like a baseball game. This is compared to the more traditional “Test Match” you may have heard of where a game usually lasts 5 days with ~8 hours of play a day, including breaks for lunch and tea.

Rabbit Hole BD Sports streams Bangeldesh circket live on YouTube, being region blocked such that countries that a broadcaster owns the rights, like Bangledesh and India, can’t watch.

Semi-Final (What they call ‘Qualifer 2’) starts Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. (New York/ET) while the final is Saturday at 8:00 a.m. (New York/ET). Rabbit Hole will stream live, I don’t quite understand why they don’t keep them for on-demand, particular for a global game, but they do put up highlights sometime after. Cricket Highlights almost always are ~20 minutes and give a pretty good overview of the game. The best bet I’ve found for on-demand full cricket games in the States is just hoping that someon kind soul uploads a match to 720.ru, but that’s a crap shoot at best for cricket. ESPN+ used to have a lot, which is how I got started watching, but the cricket-specific satelite channel “Willow” seems to have outbid them for most competitons.

The Wild Card (Eliminator) and the other semi (Qualifer 1), can be found on Rabbit Hole if you want a bit of a background before the finals.

Besides cricket, it’s worth mentioning that there is a lot of baseball happening in Latin America and The Caribbean between October and February. At least 4 of the 6 teams in the Dominican baseball league (LIDOM) offer live streams you can watch for free and legally from anywhere in the world, and a lot of the talent playing in the Dominican Republic has played in MLB which makes the game feel familiar. Besides the Dominican Republic there’s baseball happening in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Venezuela at the same time. Other countries that may have a fall-winter league are Cuba, Panama and Colombia, but I’d have to double check.
